Menu application

Installation and adjustment of the menu is extremely simple. It is possible thanks to a widely known and recognised tool for creation of web-sites - Adobe Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver allows to use not only standard tools but it also has such an important feature as possibility to use extensions. Our Flash-menus are installed to extensions of Adobe Dreamweaver and can be later on repeatedly used in your web projects. All settings and configuration of the menu parameters are adjusted in the special easy-to-use User Interface. The whole process of creation of a flash-menu takes up only a few minutes! Insert the menu onto the page - Choose colors and size - adjust navigation tree settings - the menu is ready! You can also change the settings at any time when you need it ( and you don't have to start the setting process from the beginning).

Welcome to Support Form Creator

Thank you for using our product. We hope that it will be useful and will help you to create dynamic and individual web sites. This manual will help you to install and setup Obsidian Menu for Dreamweaver quick and fast.

Requirements

Check that following programs are installed on your computer:

a) Adobe Dreamweaver MX 2004/8/CS
http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/

b) Adobe (Macromedia) Extension Manager
http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/

Installing Support Form Creator

1) Downloading extension
You can download Support Form Creator dreamweaver extension from http://www.menu4dream.com/downloads/SupportFormCreator.zip. This file is a .zip archive which contains SupportFormCreator.mxp extension package file.

2) Installing extension
After downloading extract this file to some folder and click two times on its icon. The Adobe (Macromedia) Extension Manager will run. Read License Agreement carefully, click Yes if you are agree. After it installation process will begin. If the extension was installed correctly you should see following picture in Extension Manager (if only one extension was installed):

Using Support Form Creator

1) Inserting Support Form Creator
Open Adobe (Macromedia) Dreamweaver, open document in which you want place support form. Choose: Commands => Create Support Form as it’s shown on the picture:

Configuration window will open:

Now you can fast and quick set your support form parameters. You can use two modes: Beginner or Advanced. The mode can be changed by clicking on the button in the right side. (see picture above)

a) Beginner mode
This mode is set by default. You can edit following settings in this mode:
Name field label - label of the name field. ('Your name:' by default)
E-mail field label - label of the e-mail field. ('Your e-mail:' by default)
Subject field label - label of the subject field. ('Subject:' by default)
Message field label - label of the message field. ('Message:' by default)

Email to - Target email address. The support form data will be sent on this email address.

Colors:
Table color - background color of the support form.
Table border color - border color of the support form.
Field bg color -background color of the support form fields.
Field border color - border color of the support form fields.
Text Color - color of the text in support form.

Table width - width of the support form.
Table height - height of the support form.
Message width - width of the message area.
Message height - height of the message area.
Field width - width of the fields in form.
Text size - size of the texts in support form.

b) Advanced mode
There are two tabs in advanced mode - Names/Labels and Styles.

1) Names/Labels tab

On this tab you can edit following settings:
Form name - name of the support form. This name wil be used for form identification in page source code.
Name field label - label of the name field. ('Your name:' by default)
E-mail field label - label of the e-mail field. ('Your e-mail:' by default)
Subject field label - label of the subject field. ('Subject:' by default)
Message field label - label of the message field. ('Message:' by default)
Congational sent message - the message which should be shown when email has been sent successfully.
Send button - style of the send button. You can select:
  'Default' - Standart HTML form button.
  'Menu4dream style' - button like in the support form on this site.
  'Custom button' - when this option was selected, file open dialog should be opened. In this dialog you can select own send button image.
CAPTCHA prot. - "Completely Automatic Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart" protection. From Wikipedia.org: "CAPTCHAs are used to prevent automated software from performing actions which degrade the quality of service of a given system, whether due to abuse or resource expenditure. Although CAPTCHAs are most often deployed as a response to encroachment by commercial interests, the notion that they exist to stop only spammers is mistaken[citation needed]. CAPTCHAs can be deployed to protect systems vulnerable to e-mail spam, such as the webmail services of Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo!. CAPTCHAs have also found active use in stopping automated posting to blogs or forums, whether as a result of commercial promotion, or harassment and vandalism."

2) Styles tab

On this tab you can edit following settings:

Table properties:
Width - width of the support form.
Height - height of the support form.
Background color - background color of the support form.
Border weight - weight of the support form border.
Border style - style of the support form border.
Border color - color of the support form border.

Label text properties:
Font name - font of the labels text.
Font size - font size of the labels text.
Font style - font style of the labels text.
Font color - font color of the labels text.
Width - width of the labels column.
Position - position of the labels (left, center or right).

Input fields properties:
Width - width of the support form input fields.
Height - height of the support form input fields.
Background color - background color of the support form input fields.
Border weight - weight of the support form input fields border.
Border style - style of the support form input fields border.
Border color - color of the support form input fields border.
Font name - font of the input fields.
Font size - size of the input fields font.
Font style - style of the input fields font.
Font color - color of the input fields font.

Message area properties:
Width - width of the support form message area.
Height - height of the support form message area.
Background color - background color of the support form message area.
Border weight - weight of the support form message area border.
Border style - style of the support form message area border.
Border color - color of the support form message area border.
Font name - font of the message area.
Font size - size of the message area font.
Font style - style of the message area font.
Font color - color of the message area font.

Send button properties:
Position - position of the button (left, right or center).
Email to address - target email address. The support form data will be sent on this email address.
URL to mailer scripts - path to mailer scripts. By default, scripts are copied to the root directory of the HTML page which contains support form, but you can copy this scripts to some subdirectory. This field uses to set correct path to subdirectory.
Send technology - you can use two different technologies in support form. First technology (PHP) use standart APACHE server sendmail module. When send button was clicked, support form data sending to mailer PHP script which send form data to target e-mail. Browser go to mailer script which shows appropriate message after e-mail has been sent. In alternative you can use modern AJAX (Asynchronical Java and XML) technology. Form wikipedia.org: "Ajax is asynchronous in that extra data is requested from the server and loaded in the background without interfering with the display and behaviour of the existing page. Ajax is a cross-platform technique usable on many different operating systems, computer architectures, and web browsers as it is based on open standards such as JavaScript and the DOM."
Send method - you can use two different send methods. Sendmail use standare PHP mail() function to send email. This function use APACHE server standart sendmail module. Second method (SMTP) can be used if you want to send support form data through SMTP server. It may be some free mail server, like gmail.com. In this case you should use three following parameters:
SMTP Server: - address of SMTP server (like smtp.gmail.com).
SMTP Login: - you SMTP server login name.
SMTP Password: - you SMTP server password.

Set to defaults - this button can be used for automatic set support form parameters to defaults values.

After needed properties is set, click on the 'Create' Button.

Select the folder in which document should be saved. After this support form will be created in selected position.

Press F12 button or select File => Preview in Browser => iexplore (or some another browser). Page will be opened in browser. You can see how support form work in really.
